Breathe Clean Air!

Oliver’s Power Vacuum and Chimney Sweep has been offering residential commercial and industrial cleaning services on Vancouver Island in the Comox Valley and Campbell River areas since 1975.  We have recently expanded our business to the Parksville/Qualicum and Nanaimo areas.

Keeping indoor air quality high in industrial, commercial or residential settings reduces dust and allergens, and cuts the risk of having moulds and bacteria settle into the duct system. Pet dander, rug nap, carpet, construction dust, dust mites and their feces, pollen and vermin all contribute to poor indoor air quality.  Oliver’s Power Vacuum can vacuum away these pollutants and improve the air you breathe.

You should have your oil furnace or boiler checked annually, and cleaned as required to help your air handling system operate more efficiently and save you money on your energy costs.

How often you need to have your ducts cleaned depends on several factors:

If your family members or employees have allergies, hayfever or asthma, it is recommended that you have your furnace ducts cleaned every one to two years.

If you live or work in a farming, construction, or high traffic area, it’s recommended that your duct cleaning be done every two to three years.

Oliver’s Power Vac uses the latest in furnace and duct cleaning technology to improve indoor air quality in residential homes, commercial businesses and industrial sites.  Our company has 35 years experience cleaning large systems in hospitals, pulp mills, and steam plants, right down to mobile homes, and do the job right. Once the contaminants have been removed from the duct system, we can disperse an odor-suppressant or disinfecting fog throughout the air handling system, which kills off bacteria or moulds. We can also clean your dryer vents, decreasing the chance of lint fires in your system.  Having your dryer vent cleaned can greatly reduce your appliance maintenance and energy costs.  A cleaned duct allows the free flow of moist air to the outside vent, which can result in a shorter drying time.
